Camp Ponds End is located at the North end of Lond Pond in the town of Mount Desert. Long Pond is surrounded by Acadia National Park.

Our cottage is newly remodeled inside and out. The inside is warmly done with native knotty pine. The cottage can accommodate 4 people with the queen size bed in the bedroom and the double sofa bed in the living room. There is a bathroom with a large shower and a washer and dryer.

The living room has a beautiful granite fireplace with a gas log operated by remote control. For your enjoyment, large picture window looks down the pond for the most spectacular view of the water and mountains. Our cottage is completely furnished from cable TV, microwave, dishes, toaster, dishwasher, linens, iron, outside gas grill, picnic table radio, VCR, and a lobster cooker.

There is a dock out front that is shared with the National Park Canoe and Kayak Rental across the road. They keep their rescue and support boat at the dock.

Long Pond Lodge

For large families or group gatherings we are proude to offer our Long Pond Lodge, formerly a B&B this 6 bedroom / 6 bath home is very comfortable for large groups. It is located near the north end of Long Pond, one of MDI's most beautiful ponds. A complete kitchen and large dining area along with Jacuzzi bathtubs add to the comfort of the beautiful country home.

Bike, Canoe, Kayak Rental and Guided Tours

Located close by is National Park Rental where you can rent bikes, canoes, and kayaks. They also offer Maine Guide guided tours of Long Pond as well as tours of the islands around Mount Desert Island.
