General Info

Let The Sea House introduce you to the active fishing village of charming Winter Harbor with its friendly lobster fishermen, their pleasant wives, and wholesome children. This proud, brave village along the sea will capture thoughts and memories of the way you have always thought life should be.

Here you will find artists and art galleries, antique shops, and gourmet restaurants offering fine dining. You can go blueberry picking, canoeing, sea kayaking, biking, hiking, swimming, or just listen to first hand fishing stories from the best local philosophers and historians of the sea.

There is picturesque Grindstone, its golf course and yacht harbor, Schoodic Acadia, and a Loon or two to call you home when you have gone away too far.

Close by is the airport at Bar Harbor for an overview of Northeast and Southwest Harbors. Take day trips to Acadia National Park or see the Puffins, or drive to picturesque Stonington, historic Castine, or to Bass Harbor, Stuben, or Blue Hill. Go whale watching, Windjamming, yachting, and fresh water fly fishing.

Join in coffee socializing, friendly visiting, church bean suppers, or just plain relax while listening to the restful saltwater concert of the ocean Sea and its company of birds and gulls and crashing, lapping waves that kiss the harbor shore.
