In an effort to give you a "feel" for what you are "in for" when you visit Maine, and more specifically what most people call the Downeast Region, I am using this section of my Web Site to highlight some of my favorite places to see and things to do.
Because there are so many of these favorites I have decided to split them into two categories - Mount Desert Island / Acadia National Park and Downeast Maine. I will continue to add to each of these lists as I find the time.

Mount Desert Island - Acadia National Park 
Here I focus on Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park.

ANP offers a plethora of great activities for the entire family. Disney World it is not, but if you enjoy nature and outdoor activities then Acadia is a place to spend an entire vacation, be it a day, a week or more.

 
Downeast Region of Maine 
Here I show you some of the places in the Downeast Region of Maine that are my favorites (other than Acadia National Park).

There are so many fantastic places to see and things to do in Downeast Maine this is by no means a comprehensive list. I am simply trying to give you a good idea of what awaits you here in this region of Maine.
