Colleen has been making jellies and jams for more years than she is willing to discuss. I can tell you that there was a world war going on when she started. With help from her father, Colleen's first jam was a wild strawberry jam made from berries picked in her fathers fields.
Colleen now has over 20 flavors of jams and jellies, all made in her cozy little home just feet from her shop in scenic Searsport Maine. You will find all the commonly seen flavors like Wild Blackberry, Strawberry, Raspberry, Peach, Ginger Peach and many, many more. But, you will also find several unusual flavors you are not likely to find anywhere else. How about Rugose Rose petals and Strawberry? It is fantastic and it does smell like a rose.
All her jams and jellies are made from all natural ingredients and many of the berries are picked from her yard or from the farms and fields of friends in the neighborhood. Her great-great-granddaughter is now helping with the harvesting.
Colleen is visited every year by folks, from all over the country, who stop by to pick up their annual supply.
In her shop you will also find a variety of other beautiful gift items. Pottery, made in nearby Brooks Maine is one of her more popular items. The woodburning art is also very popular.
Follow Route 1East from Belfast to Searsport. After passing through the village of Searsport you will travel for several miles and you will see Colleen's on the left side of Route 1.
